Elegant, calm and quietly romantic, the Town Hall offers a beautiful setting for couples planning a civil ceremony that feels personal rather than prescriptive:

For elopements, micro‑weddings and smaller celebrations, the Mayor’s Parlour provides a warm, character‑filled ceremony room for up to 30 guests — perfect for couples who want an intimate, unhurried moment to say their vows.

If you’re planning something a little larger, the Assembly Room seats up to 76 guests, offering a sense of occasion without losing the understated elegance that makes register office weddings so appealing.

Step outside and Sudbury’s market hill, picturesque streets and independent places to celebrate make it easy to continue your wedding day just as you imagine — whether that’s a relaxed lunch, an afternoon reception or an evening celebration elsewhere.

With no room‑hire fees, excellent transport links, accessibility and a setting that blends Georgian charm with ease and simplicity, Sudbury Register Office is a standout choice for couples seeking a refined, stress‑free wedding ceremony in Suffolk.

From our couples

Jonathan and I want to say a heartfelt thank you to you and your colleague for being so wonderful on our wedding day.

It was lovely to have met you prior to the day which ensured our ceremony felt so much more personal. We also want to say how fantastic you were on both a professional and personal level. We were both very nervous however, your kindness, reassuring calmness and clear guidance ensured we both felt looked after and really enjoyed our ceremony.

We went on to have a fabulous afternoon celebrating with our family and friends. Thank you for being such an important and special part of our day.

Best wishes

Lindsey & Jonathan x
