As well as your ceremony fee, you will need to pay a Notice fee for both of you. Notice of Marriage or Civil Partnership is a legal requirement in England and Wales prior to any wedding or Civil Partnership.
While marriage certificates are optional, they are the legal proof of your married status and usually required for things such as name changes or re-registration of children. Most couples order two certificates, and you can request your certificates online from seven days after your wedding. Marriage certificates have to be paid separately.
